The problem

Restaurant websites fail in a predictable way: they are built as brochures when nearly every visitor arrives to do one of four things — read the menu, check the hours, book a table, or order food. Anything that delays those four is friction on a visitor who is usually hungry and on a phone.

What we built

  • Menu treated as the primary page rather than a PDF link, so it is readable on a phone and legible to search engines.
  • Ordering and reservation paths surfaced immediately rather than nested in navigation.
  • Hours, location and contact placed where a visitor checks first, which is also where local search wants them.
  • Structure that supports the local search signals a restaurant depends on — consistent name, address and hours across the site and the Google Business Profile.

Why it was built this way

Restaurant traffic is high-intent and impatient. The design goal was to make the four common tasks reachable within a tap of arriving, and to keep the menu as crawlable text rather than an image nobody can index.
